Nick Hartwell has been running the butchers shop in Towcester for over 22 years, in September 2017 Nick became the Solo Owner of the shop and Hartwell’s of Towcester was formed.
Meat is supplied where possible by local Farms. The sheep and cattle are sent to local abattoirs and returned to the shops as a whole carcass. All meat is then hung and matured on the bone to maximise flavour and tenderness.
An excellent range of top quality meat, chicken and game can be found in Hartwell’s, a wide selection of traditional old-fashioned cuts are available including a range of offal, salt beef, ox tongues and tails, collar of bacon, home cured bacon the list is endless.
Pork and Free range and English farm fresh Chicken is sourced from local suppliers. Hartwell’s dry cure their own bacon and make an extensive range of sausages and burgers.
There is a strong knowledgeable team of staff who work together with Nick to ensure customers are always made to feel welcome, and can trust where their food is coming from, all important traits which contribute to a traditional high-quality service.

Our meat is sourced for quality and where possible, from local farms.
We make an exciting range of sausages and burgers using prime cuts of meat. Gluten free sausages and burgers are also available.
We hang beef to age for maximum tenderness and flavour.
